Our approach

Fall Prevention Matters. So Does Fall Protection.

Fall Prevention

Reduce the likelihood of a fall.

Fall prevention helps reduce the likelihood of falling through approaches such as strength, balance, mobility, and environmental safety.

Fall Protection

Prepare for situations when prevention is not enough.

Fall protection complements prevention by teaching protective movement concepts relevant when balance is lost.

Prevention and protection are complementary, not competing, approaches.

Fall-protection education does not guarantee injury prevention and is not a substitute for medical care, physical therapy, or fall-prevention programs.
